Bula, we are Botaira.

Bula, we are Botaira.

With only eleven bures and two dorms, we cater for those wanting a simple, relaxed experience on a remote yet accessible tropical island in Fiji.

We are nestled on a beautiful horseshoe beach, with powdery white sand and azure waters on the picturesque Vuata Bay. Facing west, our bar perches over the beach and offers great sunsets. In fact, our name Botaira means warm glow, that moment when the sunset meets the sea and creates a brilliant green flash. If you are lucky, you may be able to see it with a pair of binoculars or a great zoom lens.

What makes us different to other spots in the Yasawa’s? Far from the bustling waters of Denarau, Vuata Bay only greets a handful of boats each day, so you can step off the beach and enjoy snorkeling far out in the bay without interruption.

The entire bay is a designated marine reserve which is abundant with sea life. Giant clams, reef sharks, blue starfish and a wide variety of other reef fish will be a few of our neighbourhood friends that you’ll meet. Our accommodation is simple, clean, spacious and right on the beautiful powdery white sand beach of the Vuata Bay Marine Reserve. Fall asleep listening to the waves lap the shore.

If you are looking for simple accommodation right on one of the longest quietest beaches in the Yasawa’s, then Botaira is just the place for you.
